Searching for New Year's Eve Plans?
Say no more. A Girl About CU has your back. Throughout December, I have kept my eye out for what I believe will be the best events of the night.
From comedy shows, and extravagant parties to intimate plating events, this lineup of events has something for everyone. Enjoy!
NYE Party at Neil Street Blues
Whip out that cute party outfit you've been saving for a fancy occasion and celebrate 2025 with an open bar, delicious bites, music by DJ Greg2Hype and DJ Frostbyte, and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. GA is $65 per person and word is that their tables are going fast. Get tickets here!
90's Daughter NYE at Cowboy Monkey
Groove out with Chambana's favorite party band. Doors open at 7 PM and stay to ring in the new year with an encore! Buy tickets in advance for $20 or at the door for $30. You must be 19 years or older to enter. Grab tickets here!
Celebrate 2025 at my favorite bar in Downtown Champaign with a compliemntary champagne toast at midnight, shrimp cocktail & no cover. The vibes here are outstanding, so dress to impress! Seating is first come first serve. Doors open at 4 PM and stay till 1 AM!
On December 31, bring the family and ring in the new year at noon! There will be thousands of balloons, noisemakers, activities, music, and a countdown to the big moment. What a great idea for families and those who aren't up for staying out late. The event lasts from 11 AM to 1 PM and is hosted by the Champaign Park District.
Live Stand-Up Comedy Show at Hudson Farm
Head to Hudson Farms to watch headliner Brent Terhune crack some jokes! The first show begins at 7 PM, which is perfect if you want to get in some laughs before heading to your fun after-party or you can choose the 10 PM late-night show and stay for an NYE countdown. Tickets are $22 and can be purchased here.
Suzu's Japanese Bakery in Downtown Champaign will be hosting a lovely little plating event at 7 and 8 PM. Plating includes 4 small truffles, 2 parfaits, prosecco grapes, an agar mimosa, 2 non-alcoholic drinks, and an extra treat for you to take home!
Visit Riggs Beer Company for a New Year’s Eve celebration with bartenders Matt, Caroline, and Darin. They will be hosting some trivia games to test your knowledge on everything that happened in 2024, plus they'll have a German Food Truck from 6-9 pm with “Frikadellen mit Kartoffelsalat” and their regular menu.
Bring a date, friends, or family to enjoy some amazing wine and tunes from Dave N Lisa from 5-7 PM!
